ROV Supervisor

The ROV Supervisor is responsible for the safety of the ROV, Tooling and system related third party personnel. The incumbent is responsible for organizing and managing the project team, effective handling of operations and emergency situations.

JOB ROLES:

• Ability to oversee the tasks of both the Mechanical and Electrical Technician positions.
• Training new personnel as necessary and also cross training team members.  
• Fostering strong relationships with the client, operation staff and third parties who contribute to the successful operation of projects.
• Ensuring that problems arising within the execution of the projects are communicated and understood by the relevant staff involved in the project and followed through to a satisfactory conclusion.
• Ensuring that the project operations comply with company / clients / industry HSEQ standards.
• Ensuring that all documentation used during or resulting from the projects are controlled in accordance with company's quality procedures and systems.
• Troubleshooting problems as needed.
• Conducting all ROV project briefings with the Client's Representative, vessel/installation Master/OIM, ROV personnel so that all concerned understand the purpose of the operation, and the proposed method of achieving its completion.
• Day to day Supervision of the ROV resources operating on work site.
• Ensuring that all equipment and stores used by the operations team are in a condition satisfactory in performance, maintenance and calibration necessary to carry out the operation.

ROV Pilot / Technician should have at least 5 years experience and shall undergone formal ROV training in either Mechanical, Electronic or Electrical discipline.

The ROV pilot shall be a trained ROV technician with the appropriate skills and experience at piloting the type of vehicle used and shall keep it operational and utilize it with all the expertise required to obtain optimum usefulness of its capabilities.

Qualification – B E Mech / Metallurgy

Min 5+ years exp in Heavy Equipment Lifting Inspection experience.

6 months training period.
